Increasing Customer Loyalty on the Internet
With its wide scope, ease of use, and cost effectiveness, the internet has long been a preferred way for companies to reach their customers. Many companies are already familiar with traditional ways of internet marketing, like webpage advertisements, email marketing campaigns, direct texts, and even the more recent use of social media. The problem with all of these approaches is that they are old, tired, and predictable. Customers know that they’re used, and when they encounter them mostly ignore them. The struggle for modern companies is to breathe fresh air into their attempts. Fortunately, the internet is ripe with possibilities. One thing that companies can do to bring their on-line marketing to the next level is by trying to create a connection with their customers. Apple has done this very successfully. While it is unlikely that any company will be able to recreate the phenomenal success of apple, they can use their company blogs to not just speak about their company, but also about the issues that their customers care about. They can sponsor events that their customers attend, and, by doing these things, increase their customer loyalty.
